JOB  DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs safely and according to their individual needs

• Provide in-home pet sitting and companionship

• Feed and provide fresh water according to client instructions

• Administer basic pet care as instructed by the client

• Clean up after pets during visits

• Monitor pets for unusual behavior or potential concerns

• Follow each pet’s care instructions carefully

• Maintain a safe environment for pets during walks and visits

• Communicate professionally with clients and the Tooni’s Dog Care team

• Take photos and provide visit updates when requested

• Arrive on time and complete scheduled visits as assigned

• Treat every pet with patience, kindness, and respect

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old

• Reliable and responsible

• Comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and personalities

• Able to safely walk and control dogs

• Comfortable working independently

• Good communication and customer-service skills

• Must be dependable and punctual

• Ability to follow detailed pet-care instructions

• Previous pet-care or dog-handling experience is a plus, but not required

 

Physical Requirements

• Able to walk and stand for extended periods

• Able to safely handle dogs of various sizes

• Able to work outdoors in changing weather conditions

• Able to lift or manage pet-care supplies when necessary
